Terms & Condition Finish Disclaimer

Finish samples are intended as an aid in selecting wood finishes Wood is a natural product with normal variations in color, grain, and texture No guarantee can be made of an exact match Everything is hand finished and slight variations may occur
Experienced finishers apply all of Platt�s finishes by hand Finishes will vary in character and shade due to the various processes involved in applying a hand finish, the manner in which different species of wood affect a finish, the materials used, and the natural processes of Oxidation
Platt does not guarantee that we can match a color of items sent separately
Actual finishes will vary from furniture shown in the catalog and on the website due to photographic reproduction limitations

Fabric Disclaimer

All orders requiring upholstery with COM fabric will be acknowledged; however, actual production of the order will only begin after the fabric is received at the factory
Ten percent (10%) additional yardage is required on all COM fabric that has a vertical repeat greater than twenty-eight inches (28�) Twenty-five percent (25%) additional fabric is required on all COM fabric intended for use on headboards, if the vertical repeat exceeds thirty-six inches (36�)
Since fabric manufacturers will not guarantee their products for wearing quality, colorfastness or shrinkage, we are unable to honor adjustments To help prevent permanent soiling Platt suggests that you have the fabric treated A mild soap and water solution and light sponging will remove most surface soiling Dyes and foods such as wine, grape juice, gravy, etc may permanently stain all fabrics Platt recommends professional cleaning care Do not dry clean or use any dry cleaning solvents
In the absence of specific instructions as to the application of COM, Platt will use its own judgment in the application of the COM
COM sent to the factory should be rolled not folded
Platt is not responsible for the return of excess COM

Prices

Terms

On open accounts, net 30 from date of shipment (Discounts not allowed)
To establish credit, please send names, fax number, email addresses, and street addresses of four (4) suppliers, and your bank / credit information
Customers not on open account must submit a deposit with the order equal to half (1/2) of the total amount of the order If a company check is used, the balance will be dure one week before shipment No delay is required for cashiers checks or credit cards

Past Due Accounts

All past due accounts are placed on `HOLD` Orders received will not be processed until the account is current Future orders may be subject to cash in advance Interest will be charged on al past due accounts at the rate of eighteen percent (18%) per annum, or 1� % per month

Credit Limit

All customers on open account have a credit limit Due to the fact that the factory cannot ship when a customer exceeds their credit limit, a prepayment may be requested

Shipping

Platt can not make a drop shipment unless the merchandise is paid for in advance
All delivery dates quoted in our acknowledgements are approximate
Platt cannot guarantee to ship orders on a complete basis and therefore reserves the right to make partial shipments unless buyer specifies otherwise
Platt does not prepay freight or ship COD
Unless routing instructions are specifically requested on each purchase order, Platt will use its very best judgment

Claims

Platt is not responsible for goods damaged in transit Claims MUST be filled out promptly with the carrier
All claims for shortages or damage must be made within five days of receipt of goods NO EXCEPTIONS All cartons and packing materials must be held for inspection
Charges for local repairs will not be accepted without prior written authorization
Platt reserves the right to replace or to repair defective merchandise at the buyer`s locations

Cancellations

All merchandise is made to order and is not subject to cancellation Any request for cancellation must be submitted to the factory in writing If Platt accepts the cancellation, a minimum of $5000
Will be charged to the account

Order Changes

Platt ships according to its order acknowledgement READ IT CAREFULLY! If there are any discrepancies with your intended order, you must contact the Platt factory within eight (8) days of the date of mailing Any changes requested are subject to Platt`s ability to conform The customer must send a written request for changes, and must be sure to receive a new acknowledgement form

Returns

Merchandise returned without a factory written authorization (RGA number and shipping instructions) will be refused Merchandise returned for reasons other than for factory errors will be subject to a minimum twenty-five percent (25%) restocking charge
Sizes, Finishes, and Style
Due to the human element involved in hand made production, all sizes and finishes are subject to variations We reserve the right to substitute materials and techniques of construction as new materials and design considerations are developed
